Group therapy is where like-minded peers are able to interact, give feedback, and create a unique bond. We welcome young adults and teens to join a fun and collective experience in order to see personal and social growth. At Joy we use creative modalities to work collaboratively with clients to achieve overall well-being.

Similar to the kiddos and pre-teen group, the teen group focuses on peer engagement and the practice of co-creating and exploring the authentic self. In this group, meaningful conversation will flow as we play games and express ourselves creatively. The focus is on group discussion/feedback sessions, relationship building, positive self talk, affirming beliefs and emotional regulation.

Small group therapy where we work on connecting with our peers in a safe space. We engage in activities that help children accept themselves and others. We focus on creative expression through arts and crafts, game play, embracing uniqueness, communication and building trust with peers and therapist.

This group intends to connect peers feeling the feels of Adulting through intentional gatherings, social outings and fun! Our group will be a safe place to ask questions, express your authentic self, and process the feelings of "growing up." For 3 out of 4 weeks a month, we will meet in person every Thursday at 6:30 PM at my Westlake office. In addition to that, we will meet at a desired location for a group outing one week out of the month.
My Approach:
I aim to unconditionally support my clients and help them build a skill set to thrive outside therapy. As a member of the neurodivergent community, I recognize typical therapy can be limiting. I use a Creative and Holistic approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Unconditional Positive Regard to meet the unique needs of my clients.
I am committed to meeting clients where they are, accept them fully, and pull from their strengths to help create the best route to an optimal therapeutic experience.
“The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times… The best moments usually occur if a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.”
